Non‑negotiable checks (before parts)
Battery health under load (cranking voltage matters more than static).
Main grounds (engine/chassis/body) – clean and tighten, check drop.
Ignition / key / column area : movement‑related intermittents are a clue.
Moisture & connectors : footwell/BCM areas and bulkhead joints.
Scan all modules : don’t chase an engine DTC if a body supply issue is upstream.
What “module noise” looks like
A weak supply can create a long list of low‑quality DTCs. Your job is to identify the first meaningful fault: comms loss, low voltage, or a single consistent module offline.
If you have multiple modules reporting low voltage, start at the battery/charging/grounds before blaming a single ECU.
