Skoda Diagnostics Library
Skoda is VAG at heart: the same trims-first workflow works here. Confirm air leaks, charge-air integrity and sensor plausibility before you chase parts.
Platform notes (what actually helps)
- TSI/TFSI drivability: separate mixture control from ignition/mechanical. Use trims, load and misfire counters to avoid guessing.
- TDI emissions: DPF/EGR/boost faults often cascade. Confirm boost request/actual and exhaust temperature plausibility before condemning expensive hardware.
- EVAP influence: purge/vent issues can create rough idle or long crank after refuel. Treat it as air/fuel control until proven otherwise.
- Cooling plausibility: thermostat and coolant sensor issues can create rich/lean corrections and driveability complaints without obvious overheating.

TSI/TDI triage: boost/charge-air checks, trims logic, and emissions plausibility without parts-darting.

Small VAG patterns: misfire vs mixture separation, EVAP refuel symptoms, and sensor bias checks that stop guessing.
Open model →Best workflow: read codes + freeze-frame, then log trims at idle and 2,000 rpm. If trims are abnormal, prove air/fuel control first; if trims are stable, treat misfires as ignition/mechanical until proven otherwise.
