Renault Diagnostics Library
Renault drivability faults are usually very diagnosable once you separate mixture control issues from plausibility / torque reduction. This hub focuses on TCe petrol and dCi diesel patterns, emissions behaviour, and the checks that actually confirm the cause.
Platform notes (UK/EU)
- TCe petrol (gasoline): capture STFT/LTFT at idle and ~2,000 rpm first. Air leaks and purge faults can mimic bigger problems.
- dCi diesel: prove DPF/EGR issues with soot load and differential pressure plausibility, plus regen history. Don\x27t parts-dart sensors.
- Torque reduction: “down on power” often comes from plausibility limits. Log boost request vs actual, throttle request, and temps.
- Best workflow: codes + freeze-frame, then a short log (idle + steady cruise + one moderate pull). Most Renault faults show up clearly.
