RAM Diagnostics Library
RAM truck and van faults get simpler when you separate air/fuel control from true mechanical issues and prove the cause with data. Start with trims, misfire evidence, and plausibility checks before expensive parts.
Platform notes (what matters)
- Trims-first drivability: rough running and hesitation are often metering bias, air leaks, or purge/EVAP influence. Log STFT/LTFT at idle and steady cruise.
- Misfire under load: use misfire counts + trims to split ignition vs fuel delivery vs air leaks (don't guess from feel).
- EVAP small leaks: P0456/P0442 are common. Smoke test EVAP before replacing purge valves or canisters.
- Voltage/grounds: multiple warnings at once often start with battery/charging/ground issues. Confirm supply before chasing modules.

Truck drivability triage: misfire under load, EVAP small leaks, and battery/charging plausibility checks that stop guesswork.
Open model →ProMaster
Fleet van patterns: intermittent misfire/rough idle triage, EVAP purge influence, and cooling plausibility checks before parts-darting.
Open model →Quick win: if you have multiple warnings at once, treat it as voltage/ground plausibility until proven otherwise. Confirm battery health and charging voltage before chasing modules.
