Nissan Diagnostics Library
Nissan faults are often straightforward once you stop chasing symptoms. Use trims + air measurement, confirm EVAP behaviour after refuel, and treat CVT complaints as a fluid/temperature/ratio problem until data proves otherwise.
Platform notes (UK/EU + US)
- CVT behaviour: shudder/flare often correlates with fluid condition, temperature, and adaptive learning. Verify with live data (ratio, slip, temp) before condemning the unit.
- Air measurement matters: MAF contamination, intake leaks, and biased O2 sensors can all create lean/hesitation complaints. Always compare trims at idle vs load.
- After-refuel rough running is commonly EVAP purge behaviour. Confirm purge command vs response and look for a stuck-open purge valve.
- "Multiple codes" events frequently trace back to low voltage or one plausibility sensor. Capture battery/charging health early.
