Cadillac Diagnostics Library
GM platforms benefit from the same calm workflow: capture data first, separate mixture from ignition/mechanical, and verify plausibility before expensive parts.
Platform notes (US focus)
- Trims-first diagnosis: a lot of drivability complaints are mixture control (air leaks, MAF bias, fuel delivery) disguised as "needs plugs/coils".
- Misfire consequences: repeated misfire can trigger catalyst efficiency complaints later. Stabilise misfire and trims first.
- EVAP & refuel symptoms: purge/vent faults can cause rough idle or long crank after refuelling. Confirm before expensive parts.
- Cooling and overheating protection: watch coolant temp plausibility and fan operation; don't ignore heat-soak symptoms.

Sport sedan drivability: trims-first logic, boost/airflow plausibility (where turbo), and misfire diagnosis without parts-darting.
Open model →Best workflow: read codes, then capture a short log (idle + steady cruise + one moderate pull). If trims and load data look sane, stop chasing fuel and look at ignition/mechanical.
