Acura Diagnostics Library
Acura platforms share Honda fundamentals: trims and misfire separation first, then plausibility checks (temps, O2 behaviour, fuel pressure) before expensive parts.
Platform notes (UK/EU/US)
- Trims-first workflow: check STFT/LTFT at idle and 2,000 rpm to decide “mixture problem” vs “not mixture”.
- Misfire logic: confirm with misfire counters/load/temperature; don’t repeat coils/plugs without a pattern.
- Cooling plausibility: verify ECT and fan operation before chasing “overheat” or A/C complaints.
- EVAP can mimic drivability faults: refuel-related rough starts and intermittent idle issues often trace back to purge/vent behaviour.
- Voltage matters: a weak battery/charging issue can create multi-warning events that look unrelated.

TLX
Drivability triage with trims and misfire separation, plus cooling and EVAP patterns that commonly trigger repeat visits.

Load-related misfires, fuel/air plausibility checks, and the simple tests that stop expensive sensor guessing.
Open model →Best workflow: capture codes + freeze-frame, trims at idle and 2,000 rpm, and a short drive log. Most “random” faults stop being random when you see whether the ECU is adding fuel, pulling fuel, or recording misfires under a specific condition.
